The program has been developed inline with the national standards, based upon the nationally recognised unit of competence: PSPPCM008 – Manage contract performance.
This provides the confidence that you are gaining the skills and knowledge which industry has deemed required for the management of complex contracts.
Furthermore, if you would like to be recognised and receive the unit: PSPPCM008, this is possible through application of work-based evidence to the requirements.
Broadly, this will look at your ability to demonstrate:
How you manage the business relationship; things like probity, conflicts of interest and meeting the obligations to the contractor.
How you manage the contract’s performance, including start-up or transitional arrangements, monitoring contract performance and risk management.
Your ability to manage contract issues, these may include variations, underperformance and contract negotiations.
Your ability to communicate relevant aspects of the contract with stakeholders and effective record keeping.
The assessment process is practical and you are supported by a consultant.
